July 28

7:30 PM

GU Security was contacted by a Law School Library staff member regarding a person of interest. The subject did not cooperate with Security requests to talk with him and he left campus near Trent. The Spokane Police Department contacted the subject and identified him. The subject had been previously warned not to come on campus in 1998 and 2001 as a result of lewd conduct in the Foley Library. GU Security re-warned the subject not to come on campus, and an investigation into the subject’s possible involvement in a recent incident at Foley Library is continuing.

A stolen vehicle was recovered in the parking lot behind the Sinto Apartments in 200 block of East Sinto.

A GU Student reported the theft of the rear wheel and front axle of a bike secured near the Bishop White Seminary in the 400 block of East Sharp sometime between 3:00 PM on July 25th and 7:00 AM on July 26th.

GU Security and the Spokane Fire Department responded to a small grass and brush fire near the Riverwalk trail.

GU Security and the Spokane Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Spikes Grill at the Cog. A heat detector was activated by steam during grill cleaning.

July 20

GU Security received a report that a window was found open and the screen pushed out at a residence in the 400 block of East Augusta at about 3:30 AM on July 17. The residents, who are GU Students, believed that somebody had entered the residence and then departed via the window. Nothing was found missing.

A GU Student reported that her laptop and IHome Stereo System were taken from her residence in the 1000 block of East Sinto sometime between 11:30 Pm on July 18 and 1:30 PM on July 19. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked door.

A GU Student reported that her bike was missing from the front of Twohy Hall between May 15th and May 16th. She had placed a U-Lock on the vehicle but believes it may not have been properly locked.

A GU Student reported that an Ipod was taken from his vehicle while it was parked in the alley between the 400 block of East Mission and East Sinto.

GU Security and the Spokane Fire Department responded to a medical incident at Patterson Field.

A GU Student reported from a blue light phone on the south side of Martin Centre that she was being harassed by a group of non-students while walking on the Centennial Trail. GU Security and the Spokane Police Department responded and the subjects were trespassed from the Gonzaga campus.

July 14

A visitor to Foley Library reported that at about 6:30 PM on July 14, she observed a white male, about 25-30 years old, wearing a baseball cap, t-shirt, and shorts sitting in an aisle between two rows of books. According to the visitor, the man appeared to be attempting to manually stimulate himself under his t-shirt. The visitor left the library, and later contacted GU Security. The visitor was encouraged to file a report with the Spokane Police Department.

A GU Student reported the theft of parts from her bike while it was secured near Corkery Building B sometime between 2:00 AM and 10:45 AM on July 14.

A GU Student reported that she found her vehicle unlocked and the driver’s side door slightly open while it was parked in the 500 block of East Mission between 11:00PM on July 11 and 10:00 AM on July 12. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

GU Security responded to an alarm at the Crosby Mail Room. Alarm was determined to be accidental.

A fire extinguisher cabinet was damaged and a fire extinguisher taken from the Corkery Apartments.

July 3

A GU Student reported the theft of her bike from the Southwest bike rack at the Kennedy Apartments sometime between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM on July 3. The bike had been secured to the rack with a cable lock.

GU Security and the Spokane Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Dussault Apartments. No fire was found.

A GU Student reported that a stereo was taken from his vehicle while parked in the alley in the 400 block between Sinto and Mission sometime between July 1 at 9:00 PM and July 7 at 8:00 AM.

July 9

A GU Student reported that her bike was taken from the bike rack near Herak Center sometime between 12:40 PM and 2:30 PM on July 9. The bike was secured with a cable lock.
