{"id":1745,"date":"2010-10-15T11:51:43","date_gmt":"2010-10-15T19:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.gonzaga.edu\/campo\/?p=1745"},"modified":"2010-10-15T12:11:41","modified_gmt":"2010-10-15T20:11:41","slug":"incidents-of-interest-to-the-gonzaga-community-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.gonzaga.edu\/campo\/2010\/10\/15\/incidents-of-interest-to-the-gonzaga-community-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Incidents of Interest to the Gonzaga Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>October 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At about 4AM on October 13,\u00a0a\u00a0resident of Dussault reported seeing a white male subject with tan jacket and hoodie breaking into a vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0The student scared off the\u00a0 male subject, who jumped on a black mountain bike and fled west bound on Desmet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After reading a\u00a0campus wide email detailing a possible police impersonator in the campus area driving a tan colored Cadillac Escalade, another Gonzaga student reported that she had also been pulled over by a subject matching the description of the previous report, driving the same type and color of vehicle. The student reported that she was pulled over on September 4 at about 10AM near the 800 block of East Boone. The subject, described as a white male, blonde hair, 5&#8217;10&#8221; tall, and wearing a dark blue uniform told the student, &#8220;I pulled you over because you were not wearing your seatbelt correctly&#8221;. The subject asked the student\u00a0to exit her vehicle, and she did. The subject stated that he was not going to cite her, returned to his vehicle, and left.<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A student reported that her car had been stolen from in front of her residence in the 200 block of East Sinto sometime between 3:30 AM and noon on October 10.\u00a0 The vehicle, a\u00a0dark blue 1991 Acura Legend, was\u00a0found later in the day\u00a0by Spokane Police\u00a0in the area of Sunset Hill, 2 miles north of the Spokane Airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A student reported that her car had been stolen from in front of her residence in the\u00a0600 block of East\u00a0Sharp sometime between 3:00 PM and 5:45 PM on October 10.\u00a0 The vehicle, a\u00a0white 1995 4 door Honda Accord, was\u00a0found on October 12 at a ZipTrip in the 1700 block of North Division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A student reported to Gonzaga security that on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at about 3:15 PM she was pulled over by a tan Cadillac Escalade at Cincinnati and Desmet. The vehicle was reported to have red and blue flashing lights across the top of the windshield, but no other police markings.\u00a0 The student stated that the vehicle had a regular Washington plate, but did not get the license number.\u00a0 The subject driving the vehicle was described as a white male in his early 40&#8217;s, 5&#8217;11&#8221;, of medium build with blonde buzz cut hair. The subject was wearing a dark blue two-piece uniform.\u00a0 The subject stated he had pulled over the student because she failed to yield to pedestrians. The subject asked for identification and also had the student open her trunk, glove compartment, and console, etc. and then left.
