A\u00a0student reported to Gonzaga Security that he was walking north of the Gonzaga campus with two other male students near Cincinnati and Augusta at about 12:30 AM this morning when two white males in their late 20\u2019s or early 30\u2019s, who they believed to be non-students, engaged in an argument with them and began punching them. One of the students reported being hit in the head with a fence board and had a swollen eye and cuts. The other two students were not injured.<\/p>\n
The student was encouraged to\u00a0file a police report.\u00a0A similar early morning assault was reported to have occurred near this area on January 22 (see previous post).<\/p>\n
Gonzaga community members are reminded of the following safety tips:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0If you have to walk, do so in groups especially after dark. Try to use well-lit, busy routes. Be aware of your surroundings.

\n\u2022\u00a0Utilize Security escorts to travel across campus: 313-2222.
\n\u2022\u00a0Report suspicious persons or circumstances immediately to GU Security (313-2222) or SPD (911).
