Arrival Recommendations<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To expedite the move-in process on campus, Cincinnati Street from Desmet Ave to the Centennial Trail will be restricted to north bound \u201cone-way<\/span>\u201d traffic only.\u00a0 To alleviate confusion and\/or being \u201cstuck\u201d in traffic, these recommendations were created to assist you during your big day.\u00a0 It is advisable that you familiarize yourself with our campus and the surrounding neighborhood streets prior to your arrival.<\/p>\n

Additionally, be aware that GU has finally broke ground on our much-anticipated multi-tiered parking structure on campus.\u00a0 The location of the construction site is
\nDesmet and Cincinnati and takes up an entire city block in size.\u00a0 When finished, we will truly welcome the addition parking spaces it will provide.\u00a0 However, please note that this year due to the infant stage of progress or construction, we will not be allowed to utilize any of the property being worked on for parking.\u00a0 Simply put,
\nparking for this year\u2019s Opening Day activities will be very, very limited.\u00a0 Although plans are being reviewed in an attempt to accommodate most move-in day vehicles, please be advised that street parking may be the only space available.<\/p>\n

For the below listed Resident Halls, please enter our campus as follows:<\/p>\n

DeSmet Hall:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From east or westbound Sharp Ave, turn southbound (towards campus), onto Standard Street.\u00a0 Proceed to the marked barricade where a uniform Officer will direct you to your destination.<\/p>\n

Welch Hall:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Hamilton<\/span>:\u00a0 If southbound from Sharp Ave, turn right onto Boone Ave.\u00a0 Continue one block and turn left at Cincinnati Street.\u00a0 If northbound from Interstate 90, turn left onto Boone Ave.\u00a0\u00a0 Turn left again (next block), onto Cincinnati Street.\u00a0 Once on Cincinnati, continue towards campus and stop at the temporary stop sign at Desmet Ave, which will be manned by Security Personnel.\u00a0 Tell the Officer you need to go to \u201cWelch\u201d and you will be directed to your desired destination.<\/p>\n

Southbound Cincinnati from Sharp Ave<\/span>:\u00a0 Continue driving towards campus to the temporary stop sign.\u00a0 Tell the uniformed Officer you need to go to \u201cWelch.\u201d In\u00a0 addition, they will direct you to your destination.<\/p>\n

Madonna\/Catherine-Monica:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Hamilton<\/span>:\u00a0If south bound from Sharp Ave, continue past the school all the way to the next tri-light signal.\u00a0 That will be Spokane Falls Blvd\/ Trent Ave.\u00a0 Turn right and drive one short block to Cincinnati Ave (You\u2019ll see the GU baseball stadium on the corner).\u00a0 Turn right (north bound), and drive towards campus to the marked barricade which will be manned by uniformed Officers.\u00a0 Tell the Officers you need to unload at Madonna or Catherine-Monica and they will direct you to your destination.<\/p>\n

From Interstate 90<\/span>:\u00a0 Take the Hamilton Street off ramp, which ends at Spokane Falls\/Trent Ave.\u00a0 Get into the left turn only lane and turn westbound.\u00a0 Quickly get into the right lane of Spokane Falls Blvd, as you will be making a right turn at the next street, which is Cincinnati.\u00a0 Precede north bound to the marked barricade, which will be manned by uniformed Officers.\u00a0 Tell them Madonna or Catherine-Monica and they will direct you from there.<\/p>\n

Coughlin Hall:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Hamilton south bound or from Interstate 9<\/span>0:\u00a0 Follow the same directions stated above under Madonna\/Catherine-Monica.\u00a0 When you arrive at the barricade, just tell the Officer your assigned to Coughlin Hall and you will be directed to the appropriate parking\/unloading area.<\/p>\n

Please note:<\/span><\/strong> You will be notified by\u00a0\u00a0Housing of the \u201cofficial\u201d check-in\/move-in time for your particular Resident Hall.\u00a0 With your help, the move-in staff will attempt to stay on schedule throughout the day.\u00a0 However, in some cases do to travel distances, we realize families arrive on campus earlier than requested.\u00a0 Therefore, should you arrive a few minutes before your assigned time; Campus Security will direct you to a \u201cstaging area\u201d near your assigned Resident Hall.<\/p>\n

If you must get to the Law School parking area that day and are arriving from the north, it is suggested as an alternative, to use southbound Hamilton to westbound Springfield and then onto Cincinnati to reach the parking lot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
