Addison"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A student reported\u00a0today that on September 21, between midnight \u2013 2:00 a.m.,\u00a0person(s) unknown entered an off-campus, non-University owned\u00a0residence\u00a0several blocks north of the University.\u00a0 The intruder(s) entered after breaking a basement window. Personal belongings of the occupants were\u00a0removed\u00a0from an unoccupied bedroom in the basement, and from the living room. Among items reported taken was a set of vehicle keys, and a resident\u2019s vehicle was stolen.\u00a0 According to the student, the residents were home asleep at the time of the burglary. It appeared that the intruder(s) did not enter any of the occupied bedrooms.\u00a0 Students reported the crime to Spokane Police who responded and completed an incident report. GU Security was not notified at the time of the incident.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Here are some important steps you can take to help protect your property:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">* Secure doors and windows. Keep curtains and blinds closed, especially at night.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">* Make sure all of your exterior lights are working.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">* Installation of motion activated exterior lights is recommended.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">* Report suspicious persons and activities immediately to 911.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em>If you encounter a subject in your residence, do not attempt to confront them.
