This an advisory email to inform you of a potential High Crime Risk Location near Gonzaga University. To date, no Gonzaga University students have reported being victims of crime at this location.<\/p>\n
Spokane Police Department has provided Campus Security and Public Safety with information about a residence in our neighborhood that should be considered a high crime risk location. 922 E. Sinto is a single family residence in the Logan neighborhood one block east of Hamilton street. There are no known Gonzaga University students associated with this residence. Since September 26th Spokane Police have responded to this house five separate times. The police have taken reports and\/or made observations at the residence that we believe pose a high crime victimization risk to Gonzaga Students if they enter the residence.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On three of the occasions the police responded to party complaints and found 200 plus occupants inside the residence. Most were high school aged persons intermingled with older local gang members<\/p>\n
\u2022 There has been one sexual assault reported<\/p>\n
\u2022 There was one felony theft from a young man where force was used to distract his attention while his wallet was taken from his person<\/p>\n
\u2022 Early Sunday morning a young man was assaulted and found on the street outside the residence.<\/p>\n
Spokane Police is actively investigating the criminal acts and also attempting to declare the house a legal nuisance. The nuisance classification causes the occupants to be evicted. While these investigations and processes are underway, please avoid the house and occupants.<\/p>\n
