The common factor in these thefts is the visible presence of &#8220;incentives&#8221;: cash, CD&#8217;s, Ipods, purses, wallets, checkbooks, backpacks, laptops.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, most &#8220;vehicle prowlers&#8221; will check your vehicle for these incentives <em>first<\/em>, then break in &#8211; not the other way around. If you want to reduce your chance of having your car broken into, <strong>remove the incentive<\/strong>. Take\u00a0enticing items\u00a0with you if you can.
