Financial Analyst/Model Builder (Project)

The CFO of AMMEX is seeking a recent grad or current graduate student for a special project, Financial Analyst/Model Builder with MBA skill set:

“The purpose of the engagement is to build a forecasting and analysis model that will provide us with a good road map on what we need to push forward on to lever our focus and resources on in order to maximize our ability to grow the business.  It will be a long range planning and forecasting model.  The engagement should last through the end of March and potentially expand to other areas as we identify those through this process.”

Approximately 20 hours/week at $20-30/hour DOE.  Possibility of working remote from Spokane or other locations can be discussed.

AMMEX needs someone who is a self starter and has the capability to do the following:

  • Strong Financial Analysis background
  • Business savvy with the ability to see a business as a whole, while working through details
  • Excel expert
  • Model building experience, preferably Long Range Planning/Investment modeling

o    Discounted Cash Flows

o    Business Valuation

o    Key Ratio Analysis/Modeling

  • Capability to create and interpret various financial analysis methods to determine key drivers for a business and forecast those

SUMMER JOBS in Spokane: Job Fair this Sunday 2/12

Riverfront Park Job Fair is this Sunday

The 20th Annual City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Department Job Fair is scheduled to take place this Sunday, February 12, in the Riverfront Park IMAX Theater in the main pavilion area from 11am to 3pm.

Hosted by Riverfront Park, the Job Fair provides information on 200+ spring and summer positions at Riverfront Park, Merkel Sports Complex and the City’s Aquatic Centers.

Positions at Riverfront Park include; Attraction Attendants for the Carrousel, SkyRide, Tour Train, and Pavilion Rides, Concession and Ticket Cashiers, Food Service Cooks, Storeroom Attendants, IMAX Theater Projectionist, Facilities and Grounds Maintenance, Security Officers, Electro-Mechanical Technicians, Guest Service Representatives, Manito Park Bench Cafe Staff and Leads in all areas.

Riverfront Park staff will be on hand to answer employment questions and distribute applications for these seasonal positions. All applicants must be age 16 or older by March 6th. Some positions require applicants to be 18 or older to apply. Seniors, teachers, students and those interested in working part-time flexible schedules are encouraged to apply.

Riverfront park seasonal spring positions begin mid-March during which most employees work 10-15 hours per week. The summer season begins June 15th and most seasonal positions offer employees the opportunity to work 30-40 hours per week. Wages start at $9.05 per hour.

The Merkel Sports Complex & Aquatic Centers will also be looking to fill positions and will have representatives on hand with information and applications. Positions available include; Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, Cashiers, Food Service/Concessions, and Facilities Maintenance. Lifeguard applicants need only be 15 years old at time of application and be prepared to attend a training class during the spring.

Those planning to attend the Job Fair are encouraged to go on line at www.spokaneriverfrontpark.com or www.spokaneparks.org and bring a completed application with them to the job fair. Those unable to attend the job fair are encouraged to return a completed application to Guest Services in the Riverfront Park pavilion lobby, 9am to 4pm, 7 days a week. All hiring will be done from the applications on file; resumes should only be submitted with a completed application.

Applications will also be available at the Job Fair for those without computer access.
