iSchool Inclusion Institute’s summer internship & research program – application now open!

Applications for the iSchool Inclusion Institute (i3) summer internship and research program are now open.

Undergraduate students of all majors are encouraged to apply.

i3 is held each year in June at the University of Pittsburgh and includes two summer institutes and a year-long team research project. Students are immersed in special-topics workshops, professional development seminars, research projects, and network-building opportunities.

i3 Scholars receive full funding for travel and housing as well as a $50 per day stipend for their continued participation. Upon completion of the program, i3 Scholars are eligible for scholarship opportunities at select graduate schools in the United States.

The Business Systems Directorate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is looking for summer 2013 interns with a strong background in accounting, finance, or contract management. Each of these positions is paid and consists of one or more rotational assignments in the Financial Operations, Contracts or Business Office functions.

Each successful candidate will be involved in a 13 week summer internship program with an opportunity to present in front of top management at our corporate location in Columbus, Ohio. Interns will be introduced and trained on multiple computer programs and various business systems throughout the summer.

Seeking an entry level Civil Engineer to work in our Portland, Oregon office. The successful candidate will work in our Energy Division detailing site development requirements for substations in various project locations. Familiarity with civil design tools such as InRoads or Civil3D is a plus. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic evaluation and documentation is highly desired.  Previous designing, drafting, or engineering work experience is desirable (may have been on a co-op or intern basis).
