How can students make the most of the summer?

Summer is the most exciting season at the Institute for Humane Studies. We’re gearing up to help students capitalize on time away from school this summer through week-long seminars, personal connections to professionals and professors, and paid internship opportunities.

Summer Seminars on the Ideas of Liberty

Application Deadline, March 31st:
You have two weeks left to apply for Summer Seminars offered by the Institute for Humane Studies. In a seminar week, you will delve into the ideas of liberty with a group of intellectually curious people from all over the world. You can also expect ample time to get acquainted with fellow students, and talk informally with the faculty lecturers. You might be amazed how much you can learn from one week of challenging discussion.

To give you a taste, here are a few topics you might encounter:

“Politics without Romance: Public Choice Economics”

“Aristotle and Adam Smith on Freedom, Virtue, & the Good Life”

“Material Inequality”

“World Poverty and International Justice”

  • Be sure to apply by the March 31st deadline!
