This year, for the 2011 Seattle Trek we are adding a science/medical track that will highlight opportunities in Seattle in the scientific arena.

Time: 12:30 pm-5 pm (Excursion), Networking Social & Dinner: 5:30-8 pm

Excursion #9: Providence Health Services/ University of Washington Medicine Center

***This excursion is aimed for students to gain insight to medical and health care fields in the Seattle region.  Students interested in learning more about the field of health care are highly encouraged to participate in this excursion.***

1-3 pm: University of Washington Medical Center: Q&A session from representatives from the six health sciences schools:  Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Public Health & Social Work. In addition, the excursion will include a tour of an area of the facilities potentially a research or simulation lab.

3:30-5pm Providence Health & Services: All majors and years welcome, specifically sciences, Nursing, MIS, computer science, MBA- Health Care Administration, Human Physiology.  Excursion includes a tour, Q&A with HR recruiters as well as overall company history. With more than 50,000 employees in 60 medical facilities across five states, Providence is a leader in the field of health.
