Scafco Corporation Internship

Scafco Corporation is looking for a Communications and Marketing Intern (ZagTrax Job Posting # 12255)

Seeking a current student in business, marketing, or related field for a paid internship. Duties include working alongside the Executive Director of Spokane Ponderosa to assist with media relations, external communications and new media campaigns.
Will be responsible for creating high quality PDF clips of articles, producing media reports, distributing press releases and other media materials. Will need to take a lead role in developing Spokane Ponderosa online presence via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other media venues. Need to be proficient in generating story ideas and content for the printed newsletter and social media.
The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented with an interest in media and communications. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience using Microsoft Office to manipulate and report on data. Advanced research skills using online and print resources preferred.
Has to be able to work 10 plus hrs/week during school term. Will work around your schedule, hours of operation are M-F, 8-5pm.

  • Work with Lead Organizer to educate the public about home energy efficiency
  • Assist with trainings for volunteers to serve as neighborhood volunteers and community leaders.

Plan to Rock the Trek…

Yes, I am still in the rainy (but beautiful) Emerald City of Seattle working with employers in finalizing the details of the 2010 Treks. 

Before I announce the newest participant, I have to share a little “fun” fact about myself: I love Michael Jackson music.  I do.   His music is always fun to dance to and no matter what “mood” I am in, I always get cheered up.  That is why I was left speechless when I actually got to see his glove in person.  Where, you might be wondering did I spot this piece of Pop Culture history?  At our newest excursion host: The Experience Music Project.

This excursion will include a tour of the museum along with Q&A from panelists answering what it really looks like to work for a non-profit.  All majors are encouraged, especially HR, Public Relations, Marketing, Education as the EMP has internships within those fields.  Not in those fields of study?  That’s okay, EMP would also be happy to meet with an interest in non-profit, event planning or development.
