Inland Northwest Community Foundation (INWCF)

Inland Northwest Community Foundation is seeking applicants for the INWCF – Washington Trust Bank Fellow position. This one-semester paid fellowship will focus on strategies to assess and communicate the impact of INWCF’s grant making initiatives in 20 counties of Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

The ideal student-fellow will be:

Duties where the student-fellow may assist:

  • plan and execute a social media strategy that communicates INWCF’s mission via Facebook
  • plan and execute press outreach and assist with media monitoring
  • design and execute plan for understanding and sharing grant making results
  • participate in activities to identify community needs and donor interests
  • plan and execute outreach to community organizations
  • create/update pages for the INWCF website
  • coordinate and participate in other collaborative staff projects

Eligibility and Skill Requirements

  • Comfort with content creation technology—intern will use social media, post content on INWCF’s website, and may have occasional opportunities for photographing, video shooting.

  • marketing and/or PR experience is beneficial, but not required for this internship

Eight to ten undergraduate interns are selected each spring to assist through the next school year with the marketing and promotions of Gonzaga University’s 16 varsity sports. Interns are responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing plans, as well as game day operations of men’s & women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s & women’s basketball, and baseball. They are required to work a minimum of 4 hours per week in the office as well as nights and weekends as sport schedules necessitate. Interns are selected through an application and interview process. The undergraduate internship is a voluntary (unpaid) position; however, students may receive course credit.

Gonzaga Marketing & Promotions interns have moved on to successful careers in sports to organizations such as the University of Oklahoma, the Seattle Mariners, the Tacoma Rainiers, and the Phoenix Suns.

Summary: Mobius Science Center desires dynamic, inclusive and organized individuals to deliver informal STEM educational programming to Girl Scouts enrolled at Glover Middle School. This position requires collaboration with a small team of educators and the ability to teach, facilitate, manage and ignite the imagination of middle school learners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Mobius Science Center Education Team and Girl Scouts Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho to deliver and evaluate 8 weeks of educational programming.

  • Coordinate and provide organizational support to complete team tasks.
  • Deliver educational programs in a professional, engaging and enthusiastic manner.

  • November 14th – STEM Celebration at Mobius: 12-6pm
  • November 16th – Wrap up, assess and discuss how to improve: 4-6pm

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Spokane contacted Gonzaga and notified us that they’re seeking an intern for summer hours.  There is a small stipend (approx $100/month to be paid at end of internship).   However, it would be a great opportunity to learn and work in a flexible office!  The intern will work with the marketing team doing market research, data updating, and creating some marketing pieces.  The time commitment would be 10-20 hrs/week until the start of school.
