PLEASE NOTE: This schedule is tentative and is subject to change. You and your student will receive separate itineraries upon check-in at the Orientation Station on the first day of Orientation.

Residence Hall Check-In/Move InYou and your student will be able to check in to your student’s room between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. CM girls move in at 8:00 a.m. Coughlin students move in 10 a.m. 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
ID Card Pick-UpThis is for students who sent their picture in early or had it taken while previously on campus. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Orientation StationStudents, get your questions answered from Orientation Core and Group Leaders. 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Parent and Family Orientation StationParents can check in and pick up their own Orientation Packets. 9 a.m. – 3:30  p.m.
GSBA Activities Table, Gonzaga University Theater Sports (GUTS) performance, and learn more about other Orientation events. 9 a.m. – 3:30  p.m.
Health CenterStop by the Health Center for your student’s meningitis shots, turn in immunization forms, or just ask questions about GU health care. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Campus ToursLet one of our Student Ambassadors get you more acquainted with the campus now that you are here! Tours will leave every half hour. Last tour leaves at 2  p.m. 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Opening CeremoniesParents and families, this event is just for you! 4 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
 
Address from the Vice President of Student DevelopmentListen to the new VP of Student Development, Judi Biggs-Garbuio, Ph.D. speak about “her Gonzaga” and her vision for the school year. 4 p.m.
Last Supper with your ZagUse this time to venture off campus as a family and try the local Spokane cuisine. For the rest of the weekend, your student will be busy with Orientation! 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Presidential AddressParents and families only:  Enjoy an address by the President of Gonzaga University, Thayne M. McCulloh, D.Phil, in the McCarthey Athletic Center. 5 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
GU Fred Meyer NightVisit the Fred Meyer store located at the Thor/Freya exit for exclusive specials offered only to GU students, families, and employees. Enjoy shopping for everything your student might need to get started at Gonzaga… and win prizes!http://www.fredmeyer.com/Pages/default.aspx 11 p.m. – 1 a.m.

ID Card Pick-UpMake sure your student picks up their ID card today so they can get into the Rudolf Fitness Center. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Orientation StationThe Orientation Station staff will be available to answer all your questions! 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Music Information Meeting 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
ROTC Orientation & Open House 11 a.m. – 3  p.m.
Parent & Family Information Sessions: Part OneDuring the Parent & Family Information Sessions, pick three of the offered sessions to attend. More details about offered sessions to come throughout the summer. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Parent BBQ LunchEnjoy a fantastic meal where you can socialize with other families without having to leave campus.  Lunch provided by Zag Dining. 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Parent & Family Information Sessions: Part Two 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Dessert with FacultyWhile students are otherwise occupied, enjoy desserts with other Gonzaga parents and families, faculty, and administrators. This is an open event; there will not be a program or speaker. The faculty welcomes all your questions and conversation. Feel free to even come and socialize. 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Early Mass at the University ChapelDon’t miss this chance to see the University Chapel come alive! People of all religious backgrounds are warmly welcomed to experience Gonzaga’s unique faith community and one of our many sacred spaces. 9 a.m.
President’s ReceptionEnjoy a light brunch with Gonzaga’s President McCulloh on the Johnston Mall. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Welcome MassPeople of all religious backgrounds are warmly welcomed to this celebration in the home of Gonzaga’s longtime collaborative partner, St. Aloysius Church. 1 p.m.
Parents & Families DepartSadly, this is the time for parents and families to say goodbye! We look forward to seeing you back on campus during Fall Family Weekend. 3 p.m.

    Thanks for your questions. This newsletter is for all families but it has a strong focus this month for incoming new families. In the future you will see more articles that will be helpful to you.
