Whether your future Zag is into gaming, lacrosse, art, student government, service or Quidditch, we’ve got a way for them to get involved! We in the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership (SIL) are dedicated to helping your student find their niche and their passion.

The good news is your student’s involvement journey can begin today by creating a Zagtivities profile (www.gonzaga.edu/zagtivities). Zagtivities is the website we use to manage all clubs and organizations, and also to advertise upcoming club and departmental events. The registration process is simple.  Have your student go to the Zagtivities website and log in using their GU username – the first part of their email address (e.g. – jsmith) and the same password used for their email. Once they’ve logged in, they can browse many of Gonzaga’s organizations and clubs.

Did a club spark their interest? Once they get to campus, encourage your student to attend the GSBA Club Fair on Thursday, September 11 from 10am-2pm on Bulldog Alley. The Club Fair hosts over 150 of Gonzaga’s student clubs, organizations, campus departments and community organizations. We promise food, entertainment and a great time!

Finding the right club or group is a journey, so remind your student to be patient with themselves. Encourage them to “shop” around different clubs and activities until they find something that speaks to them.

When in doubt, encourage your student to ask around; advice from an RA or classmate might spark an idea for involvement.  They can also email getinvolved@gonzaga.edu or visit us in Crosby 200. Getting involved can be the smartest thing your student does in college!
