Just Ask_Page_2

The Marketplace at the BARC is not just a dining hall; it’s a central community gathering place where students, faculty and staff can gather to socialize while eating. Beyond the food, we know that dining together can provide students support and comfort as they adjust to campus life. Since most freshmen and sophomores will eat a majority of their meals with us, we are privileged to see them nearly every day throughout the year. That gives us a huge opportunity to support each student’s journey.

Our aim is to keep every student satisfied, and we are up for the challenge! To this end, we have a “Just Ask” policy, and we invite students to actively participate in the community dining experience by speaking up and asking for what they want. Please encourage your Zag to talk to any of our chefs or managers if they have nutrition or food questions, or if they simply can’t find the salad dressing. We even take requests! Our cooks and chefs love to try new recipes, so if there’s a favorite dish your student is missing, they can just ask us to make it! Comment cards are always available in the dining room and are an easy way to put in a request for something special.

We want every Zag parent to know that our top priority is keeping your student happy and healthy. If you ever have questions or concerns about the Zag Dining program and the food we provide, please talk to us.
