This summer, Gonzaga University has undergone momentous changes. There are new roads. Green space on campus has expanded. Offices have moved and buildings demolished. Best of all… The new John J. Hemmingson Center is complete!

These changes can come with both opportunities and challenges. Remember this is new to everyone. Whether your student is a freshman or returning student, the new flow of campus will be an adjustment. Zag Dining has been working hard all summer to ensure an easy transition. So we’ve put together a cheat sheet for both you and your student. Below you can find the important changes in dining for the 2015-16 school year.

New Resident Dining:

  • New COG
    • Location: John J. Hemmingson Center
    • Details: Named after the original COG, the new COG is carrying the best traditions into Hemmingson. Today’s COG is a two-level facility. Led by Campus Executive Chef Thomas Morisette, our culinary staff will prepare meals fresh before your eyes at six uniquely themed platforms.
  • Daily Bread Express
    • Location: Globe Room in Cataldo Hall
    • Details: Replacing the Marketplace Express, this updated resident dining location will serve fast and fresh lunches Monday-Thursday. A great place to go to escape the hustle and bustle of inner campus.

New Retail Dining:

  • The Bulldog

    • Details: Named after the Spokane landmark of the same name, The Bulldog features a full sit down menu, quick service takeout menu, and local wines and draft beers. The alcohol focus will be on education and providing over 21 students a safe and healthy dining and social venue.
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels
    • Location: John J. Hemmingson Center (1st Floor)
    • Details: The Hemmingson center boasts our 2nd Einstein Bros Bagels on campus. Just like in Cataldo Hall, this Einstein serves delicious deli sandwiches, breakfast egg sandwiches, lunch catering, and baked snacks and sweets. We also serve the Famous Einstein Bros. coffee beverages!
  • Starbucks
    • Location: John J. Hemmingson Center (1st Floor)
    • Details: This full-service Starbucks serves high-quality whole bean coffees along with fresh, rich-brewed, Italian style espresso beverages, a variety of pastries and confections, and coffee-related accessories and equipment. Starbucks also offers a line of premium teas.
  • The Marketplace
