As this semester comes to a close, many families are eagerly anticipating the return of their students for the holiday season. But one question on everyone’s mind is what to get a college student in 2016. Luckily, we have the answer: magic Tapingo credit!

Campus, as we know it, has changed drastically. Today’s students are able to accomplish so much from their phones, from navigating campus to paying parking meters. And it doesn’t end there.
Picture this: your student is rushing to make it to class, but they’re also starving. They take a quick peek into the cafeteria, but the line is too long. Should they get something to eat or make it to class on time and avoid the embarrassment of turning up 10 minutes late?
Luckily, Gonzaga students never face this dilemma (and not because they suddenly mastered time management skills, although we’re working on it!).
This semester, Gonzaga Dining Services launched Tapingo, an exciting new app that students are raving about! Using Tapingo, students can browse the menus and place orders ahead of time, then skip the line and head straight to the pickup counter for expedited service.
Once an order is ready, Tapingo sends a text notification to the user, who can pick it up and avoid waiting in line. Embodying the Tapingo lifestyle of “wait less, live more,” Tapingo’s technology is so advanced that the app remembers personalized choices (hold the mayo!) for one-tap reordering.
Matt Reed, a senior at Gonzaga, says, “Tapingo is such a convenient service for a college student. As soon as I get out of class, I can go pick up the order I made while on the go. Makes life so much easier!”
