First Year Retreat: February 9-11

An opportunity for first year students to discover community and deepen spirituality as they begin their time at GU! First Year Retreat invites students to connect with other first years while exploring and growing through the college transition. Upper-division leaders share their stories to help retreatants become more whole, dynamic and faithful followers of God.  This three-day retreat is complete with plenty of recreation time including games, hiking, Ultimate Frisbee, and more. Friendships and great memories are sure to be made.

 Men’s Retreat: April 6-8

This retreat asks the questions: What does it mean to be a “man” in the 21st century? Our media, culture, and experience tell us vastly different and often conflicting answers. Perhaps our Christian tradition can pinpoint definite and discernable male qualities in the incarnate person of Jesus Christ. Men’s Ministry, emboldened by our Jesuit, Catholic, and humanistic heritage and identity, challenges the current notions of manhood and calls men to a holistic embrace of authentic identity.  Men’s Ministry is done through retreats, events, leadership training panels, prayer groups, discussion groups, book groups, activism, social justice, spiritual development, and community building and engagement.

Women’s Retreat: April 6-8

This retreat is a place for GU women to be encouraged, empowered, and refreshed. This is a weekend of laughter, rest, quiet, prayer and good food. It’s about low stress, and deep peace.
