Cura Personalis: Caring for Me is Knowing my Name

This meeting on Feb. 17, 2021 included watching a video in which the professor mispronounces a student’s name. The group discussed the impact on teaching and learning and what to do to avoid such a microaggression in the future.

Participants shared their techniques for learning and properly pronouncing students names including:
* Print roster and note pronunciations phonetically
* Using a tool such as Interview Stream (described in this video)
* In Blackboard, have students upload videos in which they introduce themselves.
