The Portland Trail Blazers are a professional basketball team. They play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association. The visit will include a tour of the Moda Center and discussions with members of the sales, marketing, and event planning team.
Columbia Sportswear Company is a leading innovator in the global apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment markets. They design, develop, market, and distribute active outdoor and lifestyle products under multiple brands, including Mountain Hard Wear and Sorel. Ending the visit, students may have time to shop with a special discount for Trek participants.

Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU)

Gates Foundation Visitor Center/ “Impact Careers” Panel Presentation
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center takes visitors of all ages on an interactive journey that brings to life the connections we share with others across the globe. The Visitor Center aims to motivate and inspire people to take action—in their own unique ways—to improve the lives of others. Through displays, interactive exhibits, and programs, they work to spark conversation about global and local issues and highlight the important progress being made in Seattle and around the world.
The excursion to the Visitor Center is followed by a panel presentation from alumni representing different “Impact Careers.” Representatives will share their own stories and paths to careers that make a difference within the nonprofit sector, NGOs, philanthropic organizations, and socially responsible corporations.

The Publicis Groupe excursion is a PR and Marketing Deep Dive that gives students the opportunity to visit with four very different organizations within the field. The visit includes access to the following companies: Razorfish is marketing agency that works with the formula Creativity + Technology + Media resulting in a special chemistry that focuses on “next generation story telling.” Optimedia has clients such as Pizza Hut, T-Mobile, Nintendo, and Maybellene and lives by the motto: never settle, never stop. With the ever-changing media landscape, they are constantly in motion, developing new and adventurous innovations for clients and encouraging staff to think bigger, bolder, and outside the box. Optimedia is always looking for talented individuals who have the ambition to take the advertising world by storm and be part of the evolution you read about. Davidson Galleries/Artist Trust
We are excited to host our first-ever Visual and Performing Arts focused Excursion! Davidson Galleries is widely regarded as one of the premiere venues for original prints in the Pacific Northwest. Students will have the opportunity to talk with gallery managers and purchasers, as well as see an active gallery set up for a show that will open the weekend after the visit.
Artist Trust is a not-for-profit organization whose sole mission is to support and encourage individual artists working in all disciplines in order to enrich community life throughout Washington State. To accomplish its mission, Artist Trust raises funds from an array of sources in order to give financial grants, through a peer review process, to individual artists working in the visual, performing, media, literary, and interdisciplinary arts. They also serve as a professional information resource for artists and encourage artists to support each other. They provide recognition and support for the contributions artists make to the lives of people of Washington State and for the merit and integrity of artists’ work.
