Spokane, WA is located in the Pacific Northwest(PNW) and it also happens to be the second largest city in the state of Washington! It is named after the tribe of Native Americans that inhabited the region prior to it becoming an incorporated city in the late 1800s. Spokane has been through a lot of wear and tear over the years with the Great Fire that burned 27 city blocks, the coal mining, the railroad immersion, and the logging & forestry all happening in the late 1800s.
