Incidents of Interest to the GU Community – May 13-27
May 14
A GU Student reported the theft of her bike from a residence in the 900 block of East Sharp between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM on May 12. The bike was secured to a porch with a “cheap lock”.

A GU Residence Director reported that a vehicle parked on Lidgerwood east of Burch appeared to have been broken into. GU Security responded and found the vehicle full of household items. It was later determined that the vehicle belonged to a GU Student who reported that nothing had been taken.
May 18

A GU Student reported the theft of parts from his bike from the bike rack southeast of College Hall. Only the frame was still secured to the rack. The theft occurred sometime between the 16th and the 18th.

GU Security responded to a medical incident at Patterson Field.

GU Security responded to a burglary alarm at the Music Annex. An instructor had entered and was unable to disarm the alarm system.

9:20 AM
A GU Student reported the theft of her vehicle from the parking lot at Kennedy Apartments. A review of digital surveillance showed the vehicle being driven away at 9:20 AM on the 24th by an unidentified white male. It appears that the subject used a “shaved key” to access and start the 1998 Suburu station wagon. A report was filed with the Spokane Police Department.

2:00 AM
A GU Student reported that someone had broken a window on her vehicle while it was parked in the Corkery parking lot at about 2:00 AM on the 25th. An empty laptop bag was the only item missing.
May 27
A GU Student reported receiving harassing text messages and phone calls from a former roommate. She was provided with instructions regarding how to obtain a restraining order through the Spokane Police Department, and a no contact order through GU.
