About CAMPO
Welcome to CAMPO, the Gonzaga University Campus Public Safety & Security Weblog. CAMPO (Latin for campus) is the shorthand name Gonzaga students use (in a mostly affectionate way) for Campus Security.
The goal of CAMPO is to share information with students, staff, faculty, parents, neighbors, and community partners regarding crime, crime prevention, and campus security & safety issues at Gonzaga.
CAMPO is interactive; you can post comments on any blog post. They’re moderated by the person who made the post; so you’re guaranteed of getting your chance to provide input. If it is appropriate, we’ll share your comment with the CAMPO community – we’re just asking that your comment is made in a manner that reflects the values of the University that we all share (like respect for others). Whether we post it or not, we will respond to your comment if you provide us with contact information.
You can help us shape CAMPO: let us know what you want, what you like, what we could do better. Scott Snider can be reached at sniders@gonzaga.edu or 509-313-2290.

How do I report an incident? I had two GU students report that someone knocked on their door (two different apartments, same apartment complex- 411 E Sinto) late at night, nearly midnight, on Sunday, Aug 25. One tenant did not open her door. The other tenant opened the door. From the tenant: “Someone knocked on my door late Sunday night, probably around midnight. I opened the door and there was a woman (slightly older than me) who said that she knew the previous tenant in my apartment and asked me if she could use my phone. I wouldn’t have let her use my phone, but she looked like she needed help.
She talked on the phone for about 10 minutes and then asked me if I could give her money. I told her I couldn’t give her money, so she asked me to use the restroom and then left.”
