Suspicious Persons Reported in 1000 Block of East Boone Last Night

January 27, 2009

We had two suspicious person reports in the 1000 block of East Boone last night, one at about 10:15 PM and another just after midnight. In both cases a subject was observed outside a window. Only one had a physical description: white male, thin build, in his 20s, wearing dark clothing. GU Security and the Spokane Police Department searched the area in both cases but were unable to locate the individual.

While we don’t know that they are linked to the recent burglaries, we always encourage community members to report suspicious persons and activities immediately to 911, and then GU Security (313-2222). This was a great example of community members being proactive.

Just one more reminder: ALWAYS lock your doors and windows and close curtains and blinds, especially at night.

Logan Neighborhood Burglaries

January 26, 2009

It’s pretty obvious from the reports we’ve been seeing the last two weeks that someone is targeting the neighborhood for burglaries. The Spokane Police Department is actively investigating some leads. In the meantime, there are some easy steps you can take to help protect your property.

·         Lock your doors and windows. Keep curtains & blinds closed.

·         Make sure all of your exterior lights are working.

·         Report crimes immediately. 911.

·         Report suspicious persons and activities immediately. 911.
