GUidance for a Successful First Semester

Orientation Weekend is August 28 – 31, 2015, and you can start getting ready over the summer for a successful first semester. Here is a new Zag’s task list to complete prior to your arrival on campus. We can’t wait to see you in August! 1. Report Immunization Records – DUE: August 1, 2015

All undergraduates are required to provide proof of certain immunizations before starting classes.

2. Update your emergency contact information – DUE: August 1, 2015.

  • Visit gonzaga.edu/zagweb. Click on Enter Secure Area, and enter your Gonzaga ID from the front of this document and six-digit PIN number. Then, click on Personal Information.
  • Choose Update Emergency Contacts, and update the information as necessary. Emergency contact information must be added by August 1, 2015.

3. Request Your ZagCard – DUE: August 15, 2015

The ZAGCARD is your official Gonzaga University ID…and much more! Visit the ZagCard website to submit your card photo

4. Submit Final Transcripts and AP/IB Credit Scores – DUE: August 15, 2015

All incoming students must submit a final, official transcript from the institution previously attended. Your final transcript must arrive by August 15, 2015 in order to ensure your fall enrollment at Gonzaga.

5. Rent a Campus Mailbox, if Applicable – DUE: August 15, 2015

Undergraduate students living on campus must have a Mailbox (MSC box) in order to receive packages and mail. Mail cannot be delivered to residence halls or apartments. Personal belongings can be shipped to your MSC Box ahead of your arrival on campus, starting August 14, 2015.

6. Purchase Your Parking Permits – Starting August 15, 2015

Parking permits can be purchased online. You will need your vehicle license plate and Gonzaga ID number. If you do not know your student ID # you may contact the Registrar’s office 509-313-6592. Print out a copy of your receipt and bring it with you to the Security Office at Welch Hall to pick up your permit.

7. Purchase Gonzaga Approved TV

There are a number of televisions that are not compatible with the Gonzaga University Cable HD television service provided to on campus residence halls. If you plan to bring or purchase a television the following guide will help you identify brands that will work.
