Biochemistry I (CHEM 440)

Course Description: Structure and function of the major classes of biomolecules (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids) with an emphasis on proteins and enzymology.  The central metabolic pathways of glycolysis, gluconeogenesis and the citric acid cycle are discussed from a mechanistic, energetic and regulatory viewpoint.
