In Spring 2013, Joy York, a Gonzaga doctoral student teaching at Whitworth University was awarded the Contingent Faculty of the Year award. Recently, Joy just discovered from the senior class coordinator that she received the following honor: The Graduating Class of 2014 has named Joy York one of its two most “Influential Professors.” As one of the most influential professors, Joy will be invited to speak at the annual Communion and Commissioning ceremony in May. Also, Joy will be asked to select a senior student from her department to speak about Joy as a professor based on their relationship and shared class experiences. What an honor, Joy. We know the honor is earned and well-deserved. All in DPLS congratulate you!!
