Summer Term Ending

Posted by: JoAnn | July 30, 2013 | No Comment |

Hello All,

As summer term winds down and professors finish efforts to get papers read and grades in, I want to thank all who attended and participated in Summer Session 2013. This was my first term as new department chair. I have appreciated all the help, advice, and support from faculty colleagues, program coordinator, and doctoral students. Thank you! Hopefully you will take some time for “breaks away” before summer ends for you: breaks away from books, from work, from thinking about work, from indoors, from having to meet deadlines, and so on, even for just a tiny bit of time. And hopefully you will take some time for “breaks to” before summer ends: breaks to have some fun, think about nothing in particular, spend time in whatever way you want, not owe anyone a paper with words written on it, not owe any one a reply of any sort, and so on, for as much time as you can capture.

Best of luck to you in the coming months. Safe travels to all going to your homes. Safe travels and much enjoyment to all who figure out a way to take break time to . . . . . .  With Appreciation, JoAnn Danelo Barbour, Associate Professor and Chair, Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies.
