To students, alumni, Zag families, fans, faculty and staff, Gonzaga University matters. Everyone has their own reason for appreciating GU and for wanting to see it thrive today and into the future. That’s why we’re encouraging students to think about Gonzaga as it will someday be: their alma mater.
Throughout the year, teams from University Advancement’s Alumni and Annual Campaign offices will provide opportunities on campus for students to learn more about how their current Gonzaga experience is impacted by those who agree that their Alma Mater Matters. It’s a chance to show gratitude for the donors who provide funding for scholarships and resources and the alumni whose continued involvement helps students carve a path to a successful future while keeping the Zag spirit alive. It’s an initiative that encourages everyone to consider the important role they play at Gonzaga. An informational postcard (see below) was included in this year’s orientation welcome packets, inviting new students and families to join us.
