Congratulations to Dr. Karen Petersen Finch, DPLS grad and Assistant Professor of Theology at Whitworth University! Karen was recently awarded a post-doctoral fellowship with the Lonergan Institute at Boston College. The fellowship involves a stipend of up to $15,000, and is awarded in support of research projects relating to the work of Bernard J. F. Lonergan, S.J., the renowned philosopher and scholar whose work major work Insight provided a philosophical foundation for love as the ultimate center of the quest for knowledge. The fellowship also involves residency at Boston College for one or two semesters. In addition to the stipend, the Lonergan Institute offers housing to visiting scholars in a beautiful, peaceful, communal setting located on campus.
