Last week Gonzaga’s Board of Regents and Board of Trustees were in Spokane for the annual July meetings. Regents serve as an advisory board to the Trustees and to the University President and represent leadership volunteers from across the country. Trustees serve as the University’s policy-making body and play a role in the financial security of Gonzaga. Together, the Board of Regents and the Board of Trustees help instill Gonzaga’s vision and strategic plans. Gonzaga University is fortunate to have active Regents and Trustees who represent the constituencies of our community.
Two new Regents were announced at the July meeting. Below is a snap shot of their interests, levels of involvement, and connection to GU.
Colleen McMahon ’82 (Faculty Regent), is currently Gonzaga’s Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and is a Spokane, WA regent. Colleen received her B.A. in Psychology from Gonzaga and her M.A. in Communication from Washington State University. Beyond teaching in the classroom, Colleen enjoys cooking, traveling, and fitness.
Molly Nave ’86 (Regent), is the current Alumni Association President at Gonzaga. She is an attorney for the Spokane County Public Defender’s Office. Molly received her B.A. from Gonzaga University in 1986 and her J.D. from Gonzaga Law School in 1989.
