Campus construction

Boone Avenue Retail Center (BARC)

Gonzaga’s Boone Avenue Retail Center is almost complete. With the new temporary dining hall already serving meals for summer camps and the Zag Shop open for business, the multifaceted parking structure and building only needs a few finishing touches.

Indoor Tennis & Golf Center

Construction for Gonzaga’s $6 million indoor tennis and golf center is underway just a few blocks east of campus, near the Spokane River. This 72,000-square-foot (approximate) structure will offer a golf practice area and six regulation tennis courts, allowing Gonzaga’s tennis teams to practice and host matches from campus. Included in this building will be locker rooms, an athlete’s lounge, training room and coaches’ offices, along with viewing space and restrooms for spectators.

University Center

At National Gonzaga Day, the plans to build a University Center were announced. In May, students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends joined together in saying goodbye to the COG, the dining hall that has served students for nearly 60 years. The COG has been vacated and is set for demolition in July, and electrical and plumbing lines for the new center are in the works.
