#GivingTuesday is here! It’s the day when charities, businesses, families, Gonzaga University and more come together to honor generosity and to give. The entire University community benefits from philanthropy, whether giving or receiving, and we are very excited to be part of this global celebration.
Giving to Gonzaga is a great way to celebrate #GivingTuesday and have a major impact on the lives of GU students. In 2014, more than 14,400 donors provided $5,239,451 in gifts to the University. These gifts can help to:
- Provide unique opportunities and the complete educational experience that make Gonzaga special
- Help to drive down the average student loan debt of GU graduates
- Raise Gonzaga’s rankings for alumni support
- Attract and retain outstanding students who aspire to change the world
Gonzaga students themselves are giving back in so many ways, too.
- 350 Gonzaga students mentor more than 700 local youth through the Campus Kids programs.
- More than 92,000 meals have been served to the community through the Campus Kitchens program.
- Students volunteered more than 35,000 hours through academic service learning.
- And so much more!
