Mid-October Means Academic Progress Reports

Mid-October is often a busy time for students with midterm exams and projects looming.  Your student can check on their academic progress by picking up a copy of their midterm grades from their advisor after Oct. 20.

Encourage your daughter or son to have a good conversation with their advisor about their current standing in courses, what they can do now to improve their grades, as well as guidance on their spring courses.  Academic Services is also available to help with these and other issues, but we hope your student will seek the help of their advisor first.

If your student is enrolled in a Pathways class, he or she will have a session on Academic Planning. Academic Planning 101 sessions will be held during Fall Family Weekend, Oct. 23-25, and will cover some of this information for you as well.  Find us in the Special Events section of your Fall Family Weekend packet when you check in.
