Invitation to Participate in 2010 Seattle & Portland Treks
We are pleased to announce that the Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program (GAMP) and Career Center will be sponsoring career development events in Portland on Jan. 5, 2010 and Seattle on Jan. 7-8, 2010 that are focused on helping your son or daughter find a job and make important networking contacts with Gonzaga alumni and friends.
In an effort to give our students a competitive edge in the job market, we have organized the Seattle and Portland Treks during the upcoming semester break. These events will allow students to meet representatives from some of the top organizations in the region and to develop contacts with alumni and friends of the University.
Among the events planned are excursions to local companies, career fairs exclusively for Gonzaga students and networking socials where students will meet alumni for the purpose of making valuable employment contacts.
Employer partners in Portland include: Portland Trail Blazers, Regence, Nike, Columbia, adidas and Widmer.
Employer partners in Seattle include: Boeing, Nordstrom, Amazon, Accenture, Microsoft, PACCAR and Redhook.
All class years and majors are encouraged to participate, as career development occurs for students across all four years. Freshmen and sophomores can use the events as a way to learn more about the expectations of employers while juniors and seniors can make contacts for future internships and full time positions.
We invite you to review all of the details on the upcoming events as well as register your son or daughter at: https://gonzaga-csm.symplicity.com/events/TREKS2010.
If you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact the GAMP office at 509-313-4048 or gamp@gonzaga.edu.
