Welcome to the new Office for Parent and Family Programs.

I am thrilled to take on this new role as Coordinator of Parent and Family Programs and Non-Traditional Student Initiatives. I have been an educator for 10 years and a development assistant at Gonzaga for the past two years. I took the position to continue my commitment to working with and for students in a Catholic, Jesuit academic environment.

We are excited that you are part of the Gonzaga family, and we look forward to sharing in your student’s college experience at Gonzaga University!  Moreover, we understand this will be a time of great discovery and growth; certainly, our primary objective is to assist you and your student during this important phase of his/her life.

Gonzaga has established the Office for Parent and Family Programs to help parents help their students be successful at college.  Studies show that parental involvement improves the chances that college students will graduate and enhances their college experience.  This office is fully committed to making these objectives a reality.

We are so pleased you are a part of the Gonzaga Community, and we understand the integral role parents and family play in making this new phase of your student’s educational journey a positive one.  To that end, this office is in the beginning stages of creating a Parent and Family Blog, where you can access information and resources for your student/s. Furthermore, we are developing a Parent Advisory Council, and are set to launch a Parents’ page on the Gonzaga Web site to keep you informed of what is happening on campus.

Our intent is to make the Gonzaga campus a “home away from home” by offering you a full range of services and resources.  We are available to answer your questions, and, via the Parent Blog, can provide communicative publications for your convenience.

I invite you to contact our office with any questions or concerns.

Again, we look forward to having you and your student be part of the Gonzaga family.

There is nothing better than being a Zag!
