Tis the season for Colds and Flu but there are ways you can reduce your risk:
- Get a flu shot each year to prevent the flu (flu shots are still available at area pharmacies!)
- Wash your hands often
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
- Cough or sneeze into your sleeve/elbow if you don’t have a tissue
- Regularly clean surfaces in your home, like light switches, doorknobs, etc.
- Don’t share food, utensils, beverages, towels, etc.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth
- Avoid close contact with sick people
- Stay at home if you have a cough or fever
- Wear a mask in a medical office if asked
- Always follow your doctor’s instructions and take your medicine as prescribed.
