Third Annual Diversity Monologue
Presented by the Unity Multicultural Education Center
By: Randy Corradine, Assistant Director, Unity Multicultural Education Center
The Unity Multicultural Education Center in collaboration with The President’s Office, Gonzaga Activities Board, Campus Awareness of Multicultural Opportunities, Student Activities – Leadership Resource Center, and Parent and Family Relations, brings the Gonzaga community the Third Annual Diversity Monologues!
We have intentionally connected this year’s Diversity Monologues theme of “Transformation” to Gonzaga’s 125th Celebration. This year students are being asked to create a unique monologue addressing their lived experiences and how their diverse perspectives have informed tradition and transformation. To take part in this year’s event, students need to submit their monologues by Friday, February 15, 2013. FOR APPLICATIONS AND MORE INFO STOP BY UMEC OR EMAIL DIVERSITYMONOLOGUES@ZAGMAIL.GONZAGA.EDU
The purpose of the Diversity Monologues is to foster the development of our students’ voices as well as motivating them to explore their creativity and imagination. The top three finalists who present their monologues will be awarded cash prizes and all Diversity Monologue participants will have the opportunity to get their work published in the 2013 Diversity Monologues publication. Mark your calendars now for Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Jepson Wolff Auditorium at 7PM.
