Student Employment Opportunities for Fall 2015

For many students, snagging the perfect job can be quite the feat in college. Most employers have a hard time working around a student’s busy schedule. That’s why a job with Zag Dining, Gonzaga’s food service provider, is a great fit. We’ve been partners with GU since 1959, and we understand the demands and schedules of school. Our priority is to provide student employees with job experience while supporting their educational endeavors.
Zag Dining offers a variety of positions to students – from cashier to food prep to serving at catered events – and schedules are flexibly built around student availability. Many students take advantage of our Student Manager program, a great opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience and leadership skills. Students will earn extra spending money plus a respected position to place on their resume. These early positions can be the first steps on a path to success, as it was for Gonzaga President Thayne McCulloh, who worked as a dishwasher in the COG while attending GU.
As the new Hemmingson Center prepares to open in the fall, the opportunities for motivated student employees are growing. The expansive conference center will provide space for larger meetings and events. Dining operations within the Hemmingson Center are doubling in size. From new retail shops to unique restaurant stations, the student dining experience will be more customizable. Student employees will play a key role in every part of the new building’s operation. Student employees are so valuable to Zag Dining because of their connection with their peers… who also happen to be their customers!
Having a job while in school can be tough; however, students benefit from the experience as well as earning a paycheck. And Zag Dining is here to support them every step of the way! Fall 2015 positions will be featured at Zag Dining’s student job fair on campus in early April. The openings for next year will also be released on our social media accounts and at the Gonzaga Student Employment Office. Please share this information with your Zag.
