Fall Family Weekend – Many Activities Just for You
The schedule for October 7, 8, and 9 is filling out nicely. Plan to arrive Friday, in time for the Study Abroad Fair at 1pm, and the 4pm Faculty-Parent social, where complimentary refreshments abound for registered families. Saturday is our fullest day, with activities from 8am until midnight – including Kraziness in the Kennel in the afternoon. Sunday features the play series, a jazz combos concert, mass opportunities at St. Al’s and free time to enjoy the local area.
We have many academic and activity opportunities for you to enjoy, including the celebration of the newest and freshest efforts by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) to support student’s work in public humanities, digital humanities, and research in all disciplines. We are also celebrating the installation of new chairs of endowed professorships in Art and Philosophy. Join us for the series of events making up the CAS Expo: New Initiatives. Our traditional faculty special classes are also available, as well as features by Washington Poet Laureate and Gonzaga English faculty, Tod Marshall.
Don’t miss the Zag Nation Pep Rally on Foley Field, Saturday from 12pm-2pm! Enjoy lunch from a fantastic lineup of local food trucks, gather family for photos in the photo booth, show your Zag spirit with a Spike tattoo, visit with students from a variety of student clubs and enjoy performances from our talented student performing groups.
To join us, register for just $45 per family of any size; some events require additional ticket purchases and a few are fund-raisers for student clubs and organizations. Complimentary FFW registration for any alumni already signed up for the reunion that same weekend: www.gonzaga.edu/ffw.
