University Christmas Tree Lighting and Season of Light
The holiday season is almost upon us. At the end of this month, the Hemmingson Center will kick off the beginning of Advent with the lighting of the University Christmas Tree! We welcome family and friends to join us on Tuesday, November 29 from 5-5:30 pm in the John J. Hemmingson Center Rotunda for the Second Annual Tree Lighting and Season of Light kickoff!
There will be family-friendly activities throughout the night immediately following the program. These activities include: musical performances, hot chocolate and cookies along Main Street, vendors with gift ideas, Christmas themed arts/crafts and a lot more! There will also be a special holiday dinner available in the COG following the ceremony, for only $5 per person. Bring your friends and family to enjoy a memorable evening of celebration.
The Season of Light celebrates the good in our communities and our world! This holiday season is the time to renew our spirits with friends, family and loved ones as we come together to honor and rejoice in our faith. We hope everyone draws light from the holiday seasons and spreads it throughout our communities. All faiths and religions are invited to gather in celebration together, as we take this time to fill ourselves with hope and light for our world.
The Season of Light will take place from November 30-December 17, with daily, holiday-related activities in the Hemmingson Center and throughout campus. An activity calendar will be posted on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/hemmingsoncenter

With all the political correctness and censorship of free speech on college campuses throughout America it is refreshing to observe Gonzaga University mention Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas to all faculty and students at Gonzaga.
