Programs to Assist your Student in Achieving Academic Success at Gonzaga
By: The Center for Student Academic Success (CSAS)
Peer Tutoring and Mentoring: The Center for Student Academic Success oversees The Learning Studio located in Foley Library Room 123. The Learning Studio provides free one-on-one tutoring in content areas such as chemistry, accounting, mathematics, religion, philosophy, and more. Our Learning Assistants are also extensively trained to provide academic mentoring in organizational skills, time management techniques, and study strategies. Any student may use this service by creating an account with their Zagmail at www.mywco.com/learningstudio. A full list of subjects for tutoring are available online in the drop-down menu.
Learning Specialist: Learning Strategies Management also provides the opportunity for students to meet with a professional staff member to develop individualized academic strategies. Our Learning Specialist can assist with time management, organization, goal setting, accountability check ins, study strategies, testing skills, and more. Our goal is to help students become independent learners who are in charge of their own learning. Once a student applies the strategies developed, they will be paired with a Learning Assistant to continue utilizing their skills and create accountability for their own learning. If interested, we strongly encourage your student to fill out an inquiry form prior to coming to campus. A Learning Specialist will contact your student to set a meeting. The inquiry form can be found here.
