Helpful Reminders from the Center for Cura Personalis

Receiving and Transferring Care
Summer is a great time to relax and receive care from providers (doctors, counselors, etc.) It’s also time to start thinking about transferring care up to or back to Spokane come the start of the fall semester. Ask your current providers if they have recommendations in the area or call the Health & Counseling Center or CCP for providers in the area.
Zag Into Action
All new, incoming students are required to complete an online course called “Zag Into Action.” A series of modules provide education and reflection opportunities around healthy relationships, sexual assault prevention, substance use, and other topics important to the experience of our college students. Your student will walk through typical campus scenarios and learn more about the expectations we have for them to act as members of this Gonzaga community.
Wellness Reflection
In past years or schooling (high school or college) what did the wellness of your student look like? Were they too busy? Were they getting enough sleep? Was their stress level appropriate? These are great questions to ask your student and help them implement over the summer. Providing opportunities for reflection might help them start the fall semester strong with healthy habits.
