Career Discernment Retreat
Dear Families and Parents of Gonzaga University Students,
Career & Professional Development, in collaboration with University Ministry and the Center for Community Action and Service Learning (CCASL), is offering our Third Annual Career Discernment Retreat for Gonzaga University students on the weekend of December 4th-6th. Each year we have received outstanding feedback and reviews from students who participate. Students will be provided with the opportunity to:
- learn about personality type using the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory,
- experience Ignation Discernment,
- reflect and discuss career decision-making in small groups,
- understand how service and justice can be integrated into career choice, and
- hear stories from Gonzaga alums who will share their perspectives on choosing career directions and finding meaningful life work.
As an added bonus, students will participate in an etiquette dinner and watch the Gonzaga men’s basketball team take on Arizona with our own Game Watch party.
This program is open to all students and will be held at the Bozarth Mansion & Retreat Center. This program may be especially helpful students who:
- have not yet clarified a career choice and a related academic major, and
- are beginning to think about the work they would like to do after graduation.
Thank you for considering directing your student to this program. Registration is limited to 40 participants. Students wishing to attend this retreat should register at: https://commerce.cashnet.com/cashnetk/selfserve/EditItem.aspx?PC=MINSTRY-15CD&ItemCount=1
