Got your shots? Fall 2016 Flu Shot Info
By Libby Skiles, Health & Counseling Services
As we approach the fall semester, we always like to share information with our parents and families on flu shot availability. We strongly encourage all students to get a flu shot. In an effort to make this both affordable and convenient, we start offering the flu shot at the beginning of the fall semester. The cost for students is only $5, which they can pay with cash, credit, Bulldog Bucks, or put the charge on their student account!
During the early weeks of the semester, students can get their flu shot by stopping into Health & Counseling Services at 704 E. Sharp. We are open Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm and Thursdays, 10am-5pm.
Later in September, we will begin hosting flu shot clinics in the John J. Hemmingson Center. Dates and times will be posted on our website, via Morning Mail (the daily GU newsletter), and on our Twitter feed. We will also offer flu shots during Fall Family Weekend.
Additional Immunizations
If your student is in need of additional immunizations, we carry a number of them in Health & Counseling Services, including: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, TDaP, Meningitis (ACYW as well as MenB), and MMR. Students can stop into our office any time for a review of their immunizations or to get any of these shots, if they are needed. A list of prices is available on our website.
