ZAGCARD and Bulldog Bucks – News and Updates
The ZAGCARD and Bulldog Bucks program continues to grow and evolve. We want to keep families up to date so throughout the year we will provide information and reminders, mostly in bullet point format, to get our message out.
ZAGCARD
For newly accepted students, the deadline to upload a photo is August 17th. Visit www.gonzaga.edu/zagcard, click on the Submit Your Photo link, read photo requirements carefully!
The ZAGCARD is used to access secured areas of campus, to manage meal plans and Bulldog Bucks. It is the student’s responsibility to secure their ZAGCARD and never share it with others. In the event it is misplaced or lost, the student should immediately login to Zagweb to FREEZE it. This action will stop the card from working all over campus and prevent spending of Bulldog Bucks. If the card is found before it is replaced, it can be unfrozen.
The University renewed the agreement with Spokane Transit Authority and the ZAGCARD will continue to serve as a free “bus pass” to access all the STA routes.
Bulldog Bucks
A survey conducted in the spring revealed the new meal plan structure was overwhelmingly well received. The flexibility to use Bulldog Bucks both on and off campus provides students with additional dining options and extended hours. In 2017-18 the list of participating locations will continue to grow beyond dining and will include the Zag Shop (GU bookstore). Bulldog Bucks included with meal plans are intended to supplement the plan and last the entire semester. Meal Plan reminders
Below are a few reminders concerning meal plans and Bulldog Bucks:
Regardless of which meal plan is selected the first week of class each student will receive $500.00 in Bulldog Bucks. After meal plan change deadline, if your student selected a plan that includes more than $500.00 the difference will be added to their account the following week.
- Meal plans can be changed until 5:00pm on Friday, the last day of the first week of class
- At the end of the semester Bulldog Bucks roll over, unused meals do not
- The per week meal count resets before breakfast on Friday
- For students living on campus required to purchase a meal plan: If no plan is selected the Platinum All Access plan will automatically default
- The plan selected for fall will automatically be selected for spring unless it is changed prior to 5:00pm on Friday, the last day of the first week of class
