The Career Center & Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program had a great time meeting new parents and families at Parent Orientation in August!  We shared information on programs and services for Zags on-campus while encouraging parents to consider become partners with our office.

There are four easy ways to become partners with the Career Center: posting opportunities, joining us for a Trek or a Career Fair and become a mentor! To get involved, check out the article (and links) below.

We are looking forward to seeing parents and families back on campus in October for Fall Family Weekend!

KNOW OF A GREAT OPPORTUNITY? If you have a full-time position to fill at your company or a fantastic internship program to recruit for, who better to join your team than a fellow Zag?  Consider posting your position and company on www.ZagTrax.net, which allows for students to quickly and conveniently apply directly through the site.

JOIN US FOR AN UPCOMING TREK: The Gonzaga University Treks are career development and networking programs designed to increase the visibility of our students and alumni in key metropolitan areas across the country.  Treks create opportunities for students to network with alumni and employers in their home region or the region they hope to work in following graduation.  We encourage you to become involved with a Trek in your region in the following ways…

· Represent your company at a Trek Career Fair

· Host a group of students on a Corporate Excursion to your workplace

· Connect with students and share your professional advice at the Networking Social

GAMP is currently hosting Treks to the following cities: New York, Portland, Seattle and Bay Area

BECOME A MENTOR: GAMP (Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program) is a network of over 2,400 volunteers nationwide comprised of alumni, parents and friends of the University.  The program is a career development and networking program which works by matching students and alumni with volunteer mentors in their career fields of interest.  GAMP is continually seeking volunteers from all fields who are willing to share their professional experience and network with our students and alumni.   To become a mentor, simply go to:  www.gonzaga.edu/gamp

BECOME COMPANY LIAISON: Not part of the hiring process at your current company? That’s okay!  You can work as a liaison for the  Career Center with company recruiters for career fairs, on-campus interviewing and more.  This awareness helps solidify your company to current Gonzaga students as well as recent graduates.  For all of the upcoming dates for potential outreach for Zags, go to: https://gonzaga-csm.symplicity.com/events/index.php?

PS-  Check out this great piece of news from NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers):
