Senior Parents – Commencement Update

Commencement is only 5 months away and, as we get ever closer to Sunday, May 12, I wanted to keep all of you updated with the latest information.

• By now, most of you have received a mailing from CEWard-National, our agents for graduation products.  If you wish to place an order for announcements, you may do so by going to www.cewardnational.com (if you are unsure of the type of degree or major, please consult with your senior) or your senior can place the announcement order when s/he orders academic attire at Senior Fest.
• Seniors will be attending Senior Fest on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.  This is when the seniors purchase their cap, gown, and hood for the Commencement ceremony.  The cost for the academic attire is $74.50 (this includes tax) and payment must be made at the time of purchase by cash, check or credit card (VISA or MasterCard).  The attire will be distributed to seniors here on campus the week prior to the Commencement ceremony.
• Seniors will have one last opportunity to have their senior portrait taken for the Yearbook during Senior Fest and I will be e-mailing them with information about reserving a sitting time.
• The seniors who are in charge of Senior Events have created a “Senior Events Package” which will include a ticket to the Senior Ball.  The “Senior Events Package” (sales began December 10) will be offered for sale during Senior Fest.  The price is $80.00 and it might (check with your senior) make a nice – albeit delayed – Christmas present.  You, or your senior, may order a “Senior Events Package” at https://commerce.cashnet.com/SeniorEvents .
