According to the Food Allergy Research and Education Organization, 15 million people in the United States have food allergies. Is your student one of them? No need to fear, Zag Dining by Sodexo is here! We provide full healthy meals that fit your student’s individual needs.

Food allergies have increased in prevalence by over 50% in recent years. So we created Simple Servings, where all dishes are made without the eight most common food allergens: milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten.

Simple Servings is dedicated to serving simply prepared foods using only olive oil and fresh herbs and spices. From the utensils to the cutting boards, everything is color coded to prevent cross contamination. Simple Servings can be found every day at the World’s Fare station in the new COG.

Let’s be honest, college students have other things to worry about than what’s on their plate for dinner. But communication is key. Make sure your student isn’t afraid to talk to us about their dietary needs. Our motto is JUST ASK! Our resident dining management team, including Executive Chef Thomas Morisette, is always available and ready to help.

Zag Dining by Sodexo is passionate about serving the Zag community. From general manager to front line servers, we work diligently to address students’ specific needs. We take pride in sourcing wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately and providing nutritional statements through our online menus. If a student cannot find something they can eat or do not like the selections, they can place a special order.

A team approach led by your student is the best preparation for a safe school year free of allergic reactions. We want to meet one-on-one with all of our Zags this year to make sure we have a safe, delicious, and social school year!

If you have a food allergy/special diet concern, please call (509) 313 – 6925 or email Thomas.Morisette@Sodexo.com. For more information on our management team visit www.zagdining.sodexomyway.com/people/index.html.
